Other Services and Fees
Gourmet Meal Service: $55.00 per Guest per Day (Plus a 17% Service Fee in Lieu of Gratuity and VT Sales Tax.)
Our meal service, a praised part of the When Words Count Retreat experience, is a value-
priced necessity, owing to our remote rural location.
Daily Meal Service includes:
- A sit-down, two-course country-style breakfast
- A buffet farm lunch (fresh salad, protein portion, cheese board, crackers, soup, etc.)
- Cocktail-hour hors d’oeuvres
- Daily Coffee and tea service and
- A four-course Gourmet dinner, prepared, each evening by our celebrated Chef Paul.
Individual dietary restrictions/preferences fully accommodated.
Guest Services
Costs for guest services such as:
- Housekeeping
- Hospitality
- Concierge
- Wait-staff and
- Group book-coaching sessions (aka “hash sessions”)
are partially offset through a 17% charge on rooms. (A 9% VT sales tax is assessed on room and board only.)
Group Bookings
When Words Count Retreat welcomes writing critique circles and independent writing groups or programs, looking for a high-quality, turnkey retreat to take over for a weekend, week or more. With 8 rooms and ten available beds, we can comfortably house fairly large groups.
