Meet Lane Heymont
Having served as a Literary Assistant for two years at the Seymour Agency and having led the marketing efforts for their authors and enjoyed connecting clients with readers, he decided to pursue his passion as a literary agent to bring more well written books to the masses and started his own agency, The Tobias Agency.
He is a lover of literature since childhood. With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, business and literature, Lane continued his education in Creative Writing and English, studying at Harvard.
Lane is hungry for well-written horror novels with multi-media crossover appeal. Exceptional world building is a must. In non-fiction, he is looking for thought-provoking and academic studies of both modern and historical horror. Think Jess Peacock’s SUCH A DARK THING: THEOLOGY OF THE VAMPIRE NARRATIVE IN POPULAR CULTURE
Lane is a member of HWA, ITW, and AAR. He believes what John Gregory Dunne said: “Writing is manual labor of the mind.”
